PURPOSE: A parking apparatus and method is provided to reduce the cost for driving a tray and improve the convenience by installing the tray to a parking room and installing a pulling and restoring device of a tray to a cage. CONSTITUTION: A parking apparatus of a fork shape includes a cage frame moving to a parking room and to a gateway layer, while moving vertically; a turntable changing the direction of a vehicle put into the containing chamber; a fork lift putting the vehicle on a tray or the turntable; and the tray putting the vehicle into the containing chamber or taking the vehicle out of the containing chamber, while horizontally going and returning to the cage and a vehicle containing chamber. The tray slides on rails of each parking room, and a combining unit, combined to a pulling and restoring device(101) of a tray, is attached to a side of the tray. The pulling and restoring device, to pull the tray disposed to the parking room to the cage frame and to situate the tray to the parking room, is mounted to the cage frame.
