PURPOSE: A dischargeless type fluorescent lamp is provided to achieve improved high luminance, while lengthening the lifespan of the lamp and reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A dischargeless type fluorescent lamp(20) comprises a main body(22) having a luminous space(21), and which is formed of a transparent body permitting a transmission of a visible light; a phosphor deposited on the inner surface of the space of the main body and excited to radiate the visible light by being stimulated by the light of wavelength including an ultraviolet or infrared ray; and an excitation unit(40) for exciting the phosphor. The excitation unit includes a light source(41) for generating the light of wavelength including an ultraviolet or infrared ray; and a light transmitting member for transmitting the light generated from the light source to the phosphor existing in the space of the main body.
