<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat-plate solid oxide fuel cell with excellent durability and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: With the flat-plate solid oxide fuel cell of a structure in which cells consisting of three layers of a fuel electrode, an electrolyte and an air electrode and a separator for electrically connecting the cells are laminated in turn, the separator comprises a metal substrate of a cubical shape having a plurality of protrusions for forming an air flow space between the cells and a conductive oxide layer formed on the surface of the metal substrate by an aerosol deposition method, and movement of electrons is generated between the cells and the metal substrate through the conductive oxide layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
