摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charging system which can efficiently cool a battery constituted of many battery cells. <P>SOLUTION: A tubular cell cover 422 is set for each battery cell 421. Many ventilation routes 422a are formed in the vertical directions on the inside face of the cell cover 422, and slits 422b are opened lengthwise at the bottom of each ventilation flue 422a, that is, the side of the cell cover 422. The battery cell 421 set with the cell cover 422 is stored in an upright attitude or inverted posture within a battery plate 412. For each battery cell 421, the positive electrode of a battery cell in an upright attitude and the negative electrode of a battery cell in the inverted posture, and the negative electrode of the battery cell the upright posture and the positive electrode of the battery c cell in the inverted posture are connected with each other by bridge electrodes 423. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
