<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC generator for a vehicle which can be reduced in size and cost by using a MOS type IC regulator even when an output voltage is high. <P>SOLUTION: The AC generator 1 for a vehicle comprises three-phase stator windings 11 included in a stator, a rectifier 12 formed of six Zener diodes which full wave rectify three-phase outputs of the stator windings 11, a field winding 13 included in a rotor, a power circuit 14 formed of three diodes which rectify voltages induced in middle taps 11a, 11b, and 11c of each phase of the stator windings 11, and a regulator 3 for controlling the output voltage. In the power circuit 14 connected to middle taps of the stator windings 11, an operating voltage of the regulator 3 which is lower than the output voltage of the AC generator 1 for vehicle is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
