PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal that enables data communication with the opposite communication terminal by automatically selecting one protocol among a plurality of protocols. SOLUTION: The communication terminal 1 with a plurality of the protocols has data communication means 7, 10 that perform the data communication by one of a plurality of the protocols, a protocol switching means 11 that switches protocols to be used, communication terminal detection means 6, 9 that detect the communication terminal by using the protocols and a timer 2 that informs elapse of fixed time.
