PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make high seed collection of management information without inviting cost increase. SOLUTION: A network management system provides plural network configuration devices which are respectively assigned unique device numbers and communicate using an inter device frame, including the device number, a network including transmission lines which connects these network components, and a monitor device, which is connected with a representative network component out of the plurality of network component through IP circuits transmitting IP frames, and collects management information specifying the network components as a monitor object by an IP address included in the IP frame. The representative network component has a 1st processing measure, which can respectively collect management information, reflecting the mutual conversion result of the device number uniquely assigned to the plurality of network components and the IP addresses using for specifying the network component of the monitor object by the monitor device for the inter-device frame and the IP frame.
