APPARATUS FOR AUTHENTICATING SPEAKERS APPLYING CEPSTRUM WEIGHT BY INDIVIDUALS FOR IMPROVING DISCRIMINATION BETWEEN SPEAKERS AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE:An apparatus for authenticating speakers applying cepstrum weight by individuals for improving discrimination between speakers and a method therefor are provided to improve the discrimination between speakers by applying improved weight to characteristic parameters. CONSTITUTION:A windowing unit(404) receives a sampled voice signal of which high band is increased for taking a periodical window to generate the voice signal as a periodical signal. A magnetic correlation analyzing unit(405) receives the periodical voice signal for obtaining a magnetic correlation value to extract an LPC(Linear Predictive Coefficient). An LPC analyzing unit(406) obtains a PARCOR(PARtial CORrelation) coefficient by using the magnetic correlation value, and obtains the LPC. An LPC parameter converter(407) obtains LPC cepstrum by using the LPC, and applies weight to the LPC cepstrum, wherein the weight is a ratio of distribution by degrees of a common code book and distribution of characteristic vector by degrees to the whole frames in a sound section of an individual speaker.
