PURPOSE: A preventing formulation for apple canker capable of spraying to entire fruits before the generation of lesions without applying to a lesion part after the generation of lesions is provided which can prevent the generation of apple canker in advance and reduces attendant personnel expenses when applied to a lesion part one by one. CONSTITUTION: An apple canker preventing formulation contains ferric ammonium of methyl arsenic acid or a ferric salt of methyl arsenic acid within the concentration range of 20 to 60%. The formulation comprises 35 to 80% by weight of ferric ammonium of methyl arsenic acid or a ferric salt of methyl arsenic acid having a purity of 56% or more, 1 to 10% by weight of a surfactant, 5 to 60% by weight of an adjuvant and the balance of water. It can be applied to an apple tree from late February to early April to prevent apple canker.
