Beach shoe designed for walking on soft or hot sand, consists of a rigid molded plastic sole (1) with a cord (3) to hold in on the foot, and a series of hollow rigid plastic tubes (2) on the underside of the sole, filled with compressed air during manufacture to provide thermal insulation. The sole is broader than the wearer's foot so that it does not sink into soft sand.
