PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery packaging material with a constitution capable of maintaining battery performance for a certain period of time, and with stable processing capability during production processes of an external body, in other words, with excellent embossing and punching capabilities. SOLUTION: In a battery package into which a battery is inserted and of which periphery is sealed by heat, the packaging material to form the external body has a laminated body consisting of at least a base material layer, an adhesive layer, a barrier layer, a chemical treatment layer, an adhesive resin layer, and a sealant layer. Polyethylene resin graft-polymerized by unsaturated carboxylic acid and metallocene linear low-density polyethylene resin are coextruded into the adhesive resin layer and the sealant layer respectively.
