PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive switch having a high withstand voltage and being compact in the direction orthogonal to the direction of moving of an operation member. SOLUTION: Since a first contact part 5g and a second contact part 5h of a movable contact 5 move into the direction in which a fixed contact 2 is extended, this switch can be miniaturized in the direction orthogonal to the direction of moving of the operation member 4. Moreover, since the first and second contact parts 5g, 5h escape upward from the fixed contact 2, a withstand voltage can be increased when compared with a conventional case where they escape between two fixed contacts 2. Furthermore, a conventional slide body becomes unnecessary to provide inexpensive and compact switch capable of reducing the number of parts and achieving excellent productivity.
