<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method capable of being applied to both of a rigid body and a flexible body. <P>SOLUTION: This simulation device comprises an initial position calculating part 150 for dividing an object into lattice on the basis of the shape data of the object, and calculating the initial position data of each lattice point, an external force calculating part 160 for calculating the external force data on each lattice point, and an operating part 170 for constructing an equation of motion based on a position of each lattice point and the external force data, and operating a position of a first time, a position of a second time based on a speed and the external force data, the speed and the external force data. The operating part corrects the speed of the second time to minimize the extending energy relating to a distance between a specific lattice point and an adjacent lattice point in numerical calculation, when the object is the rigid body, and corrects the speed of the second time by using the maximum value of the extending energy among all of the lattice points in a case when the object is the flexible body, to determine the position of the second time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
