PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin waterproof rubber plug capable of providing a good sealing property between a housing and an electric wire, and a good insertion property into the housing. SOLUTION: This waterproof rubber plug 10 is inserted in an insertion hole 14 of a housing 13 under a condition that an electric wire W is fitted to an electric wire fitting hole 16, and a space between the outer periphery of the electric wire W and the inner periphery of the insertion hole 14 of the housing 13 is sealed with a sealing part 15. A diameter of the insertion hole 14 of the housing is A, and an outside diameter of the electric wire W is B. At the time of B/A>0.6, an outside diameter of the seal part 15 before the electric wire W is, fitted is C, and the diameter of the electric wire fitting hole 16 before the electric wire W is fitted is D. A squeeze ratio obtained from a squeeze ratio calculation formula; a squeeze ratio = 100×ä(C-D)-(A-B)}/(C-D), is set to 46% or less, and a squeeze volume obtained from a squeeze volume calculation formula; a squeeze volume = ä(C-D)-(A-B)}/2, is set to 0.19 mm or more.
