PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device for a microwave oven of which, size, weight, and cost are reduced by using a small-sized radiation fin having a power semiconductor device whose cooling efficiency is enhanced. SOLUTION: For the power supply device for the microwave oven, having a base plate on which, a rectifying circuit, a choke coil, an inverter, an inverter control circuit, and a step-up transformer are mounted; a hole element H is arranged to the choke coil 30 having a space at its core part, and power semiconductor devices P1, P2 are directly fixed to the heat radiation fin 61 by soldering. A square-shaped core 27 made of metal, formed into square-shape by winding a lengthwise metal plate into plural turns, of which, an inner diameter of the square shape is larger than the outer diameter of either of the primary winding and the secondary winding, and the other inner diameter of the square shape is larger than the piled height of the primary winding and the secondary winding, is arranged so as to face the ferrite core 26 while being inserted toward the rod-shaped ferrite core 26 from the outside of a primary winding and a secondary winding of the choke coil interposing a gap G.
