PURPOSE: An apparatus for restoring slab position is provided to restore the stacking defect state by turning back the succeeding slab to roller table safely and promptly when a stacking defect in which two sheets of slab are arranged on piler with being parallel and adjacently to each other is generated. CONSTITUTION: In a slab piling apparatus comprising a piler(100) which is equipped with roller table so that slab is straightly moved on the roller table, and on the upper surface of which slab pushed from the roller table by pusher is stacked in a plurality of layers, the apparatus for restoring slab position comprises a piling part(10) in which a plurality of concave grooves(12) are formed on slab loading stand(102) of the piler(100) in a coaxial direction to a slab pushing direction by the pusher; a transfer car part(30) in which a plural working arms(32) between rollers(112) of the roller table are arranged on rails(34) respectively in such a way that the plural working arms(32) are moved from the roller table to the side of the piler(100), back and forth moving cylinders(37) are arranged at one side of the working arms(32), and rod(37a) of the back and forth moving cylinders(37) are connected to the working arms(32) so that the working arms(32) are moved back and forth; and a lowerable and liftable part(60) in which concave grooves are formed on the upper surface of the working arms(32), a plurality of lowerable and liftable cylinders are installed in the grooves, rods of the cylinders are connected to a lowerable and liftable plate(75) covering the upper surface of the grooves to lift the slab positioned at the upper side of the working arms(32), wherein the working arms(32) proceeds to lift the slab loaded on the piler(100) and turn it back to the side of the roller table.
