<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power unit, which can cope with the rush current of a load device or the start current, without increasing the power capacity on the side of an AC/DC converter and an input power source. <P>SOLUTION: In the uninterruptible power unit 100, which is supplied with input power from an AC power source 200 and supplies the load device 300 with specified power, there are provided an AC/DC converter 4 which converts an inputted AC current Iin into a DC current, an inverter 4 which converts this DC current into an AC current, a battery 8, an input current detector 3 which detects the current value of the input current Iin of the above input power, and a voltage/current controller 2 which controls the current value and the voltage value of the AC/DC converter 3, based on the current value detected by this input current detector 3; and when the input current detector 3 detects the input current, exceeding the specified output current value of the load device, the controller 2 limits the current value of the AC/DC converter 1 into a specified current value of the load device, whereby this power unit supplies the excess power by rush and starting currents from the battery 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
