<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin structure servomotor that can reduce the capacity, weight, size, and space of a control motor. <P>SOLUTION: The servomotor comprises an ultrasonic motor (1) having an oscillator (2), a stator (3), a rotor (4), and a shaft (10), and a capacitive encoder (6) having a substrate (8A), a substrate (8B), and a disk (7) with the shaft (10) as an axis.
