<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide data processing device and method capable of processing various kinds of data. <P>SOLUTION: An application program 20 enables plug-in (MemoryFile.dll) 33 to be executed in a form that data formed by the application program 20 is taken in and sets the plug-in 33 to an input layer. A core engine part selects the plug-in 33 of a conversion layer according to a data type outputted from the plug-in 33. The selected conversion layer outputs the data type after the conversion and the plug-in 33 of an output layer is selected according to the result. The series of plug-in 33 are constructed in a pipeline to open the data. When the application program 20 requests the starting of the data processing, the plug-in 33 outputs the taken data and the data is successively converted and outputted by the plug-in 33 processed into a pipeline. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
