<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve receiving performance and reduce power consumption by correcting power amplifier distortion. <P>SOLUTION: An equalization/error correction processing section 20 has an equalizing section 21, error-correcting sections 22A, 22B and a selecting section 27. The section 21 outputs reception data, to which only transmission path correction and phase rotation correction are applied, and reception data to which a power amplifier distortion correction is applied in addition to these correction. These two types of reception data are subjected independently to error processing by the sections 22A, 22B. The section 27 in the end makes decision on whether the reception is successful. That means, when either the sections 22A or 22B decides that the reception is successful, the reception is considered to be successful, and only when both the sections 22A and 22B decide that the reception fails, the reception is considered to be a failure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
