PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk player in which the improvement in error rate is attained. SOLUTION: An RF signal which is a disk playback signal, is binarized through an equalizer 12 and a slicer 13, then subjected to data modulation, and the error rate of the playback signal is detected by an error detecting circuit 16. When the error rate on the error detecting circuit is higher than the prescribed value, the slice balance of the slicer 13 is adjusted by a slice balance adjustment circuit 18, and also the boost adjustment of the equalizer 12 is carried out by a boost adjustment circuit 17.
