PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder of a magnetic transfer apparatus which can improve alignment when magnetic transfer is conducted by bringing a master carrier and a slave medium in close contact to achieve magnetic transfer with high efficiency. SOLUTION: The holder is provided with a positioning pin 14 to which the center holes 2a to 4a, individually having an equal diameter, of at least one piece of master carriers 3 and 4 and a slave medium 2 are fitted for common positioning when the master carriers 3 and 4 which have the transfer patterns corresponding to information are confronted to and brought in contact with a single side or both sides of the slave medium 2 receiving the transfer in an internal space 6 capable of opening/closing between a base chamber 11 capable of coming in contact with or separating from a pressure chambers 12.
