PURPOSE: A reflective liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to increase the area of a scattering part to improve the luminance by forming patterns on the first organic film with different size and height. CONSTITUTION: A reflective liquid crystal display device includes upper and lower substrates(230,200) apart from each other by a predetermined distance via a liquid crystal layer(226). Black matrixes(229) and color filters(228a-228c) are formed under the upper substrate. Common electrodes are formed under the color filters with a transparent conductive material. The lower substrate is formed with a plurality of gate and data wires defining pixel areas(P) by intersection, and thin film transistors(T) on the intersections with gate electrodes(210), an active layer(214) and source/drain electrodes. An organic film(240) is doped on the entire surface of the lower substrate as a first protecting layer, and has a concave and convex pattern on areas corresponding to the pixel areas. A second organic layer(242) and reflecting electrodes(244) are formed on the first protecting film for high luminance by expanding the scattering area of the reflective LCD.
