A GPS (Global Positioning System) signal processing system uses a single phase lock (201) loop (220) and code lock (208) loop (222) to process wide (WB) and narrow (NB) band signals with mixing of these signals in the first (220) and second (222) phase discriminators in proportions determined by estimated ratios of the channel noise powers based on blanking ratios and weighting for the discriminator slopes.
