PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelement which is small enough to be used for temperature-difference electric generation, local cooling or the like of mobile information equipment, and which has a thermal contact properly maintained between a protection substrate and a thermoelectric block and can be electrically connected easily to an external circuit without preventing the thermal contact. SOLUTION: A plurality of bar-like elements which are formed of an n-type thermoelectric semiconductors or a p-type thermoelectric semiconductors are regularly disposed via an insulation layer and are secured. End faces of each bar-like element are exposed, and a wiring electrode and an extraction electrode are formed over the end faces. Then, a substrate mounted with a substrate electrode is bonded via an adhesive layer of a prescribed thickness, forming a space between the substrate electrode and the extraction electrode which face each other. Afterwards, by letting a soldering material penetrate into the space, an excellent electrical contact can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
