<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video telephone system whose cost can be reduced by reducing memory resources, and a video telephone method. <P>SOLUTION: This video telephone system is provided with a photographing device 101 for photographing an image in real time to generate a real time image signal, a still picture storage device 102 for storing the image signal of a still picture, an image storing unit 107 for storing the image signal, an image storage controlling means for selecting the image signal from the photographing 101 and the image signal from the still picture storage device 102 and storing the image signals in the image storing unit 107, a display device 109 for displaying the image signals stored in the image storing unit 107, and an image encoding device 110 for encoding the image signals stored in the image storing unit 107. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
