INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM FOR UTILIZING MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively provide information particularized in an area more minutely divided than each cell area to a mobile station in the area. SOLUTION: A cell area A is divided into a plurality of blocks a01 to a25 and a base station 110 transmits block position information denoting a geographical position of each block and 25 block address information items to a mobile station M01 existing in a cell area A. An information reception means 1 in the mobile station M01 receives the information items. A position recognition means 2 utilizes the GPS to recognize a present location, and a present location block particularizing means 3 particularizes the present location block as to the mobile station M01 to be a17 on the basis of the present location and the block position information. An information providing means 4 selects only the information addressed to the present location block a17 among 25 sets of received block addressed information items and provides the selected information to a user.
