PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an error of a time code signal. SOLUTION: As preprocessing stages for sending a time code signal, a method includes a stage for reading information Ia to be verified included in a time code signal to be sent and generating transmission-side verification data Dt by using the read information Ia to be verified and a stage for attaching the transmission-side verification data Dt to the time code signal to be sent.
