PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear projector which can display large-screen video with rich presence without causing a projection image on a screen to flicker even when large-volume sound is outputted from a woofer for low-tone output. SOLUTION: The rear projector 1 is equipped with a lower cabinet 13 which stores an image forming part and an upper cabinet 12 where a screen body 51 is provided. In the front of the lower cabinet 13, two woofer boxes 60 for low-tone output are provided and on each of the right and left flanks of the upper cabinet 12, a speaker box 70 for high-tone output is provided. The woofer boxes 60 are stored in the lower cabinet 13, so vibration is hardly transmitted to the screen body 51 on the side of the upper cabinet 12 and a reflecting mirror in the upper cabinet 12 and then even when large-volume sound is outputted from the woofer boxes 60, an image on the screen body 51 never flickers.
