PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the efficient retrieval of a desired content from a large amount of contents delivered on a network. SOLUTION: This system comprises a content profile management part 11 for storing profiles showing the summary of contents and a content filter description part 12 for registering a filter in which a retrieval condition for retrieving a profile and information showing the arrangement of profile on a terminal screen are described. A content filtering part 13 retrieves, when a filter is selected by a user, the profiles in the management part 11 on the basis of the retrieval condition of the filter in the description part 12 corresponding to the selected filter, and a content arrangement part 14 determines the arrangement position of the retrieved profile on the terminal screen on the basis of the arrangement information of the filter in the description part 12 corresponding to the selected filter and displays it on the screen of the terminal 3.
