<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reform type fuel cell system in which thawing is not required at the starting below freezing point and the thermal efficiency is improved and the hydrogen storage device is made small. <P>SOLUTION: The reformed gas rich in hydrogen generated by a reformer 1 is supplied to a shift converter 2 and CO in the reformed gas is reacted with steam by water and denaturated into CO<SB>2</SB>. A gas separation and removal device 5 separates hydrogen from the gas rich in hydrogen and the separated hydrogen is stored in a hydrogen storage device 6. At the starting of the fuel cell, the fuel cell 3 generates power by the hydrogen released from the hydrogen storage device 6. The exhaust air from the air pole of the fuel cell 3 is supplied to a steam separator 9 through an air pole exhaust passage 8. The steam separated by the steam separator 9 is sent out to a passage 20 by a pump 22 and supplied to the reformer 1. A heating device 21 heats the air pole exhaust passage 8, the steam separator 9, and the passage 20 and prevents dew condensation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
