PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device capable of improving the certainty of multidirection key operation using a four-direction key and to provide a cellular phone device provided with the switch device. SOLUTION: This switch device is provided with four push button switches 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d positioned on a switch base so as to occupy corners of a quadrilateral, a key pad 2 positioned on them, a direction key basic body 5 positioned on the key pad to cover four push button switches, and a case body 6 provided with an opening 28 for protruding the direction key basic body to the outside. Four protruding parts 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d protruding so that they are overlapped on mate parts when viewed in a plane and an interval between mate parts and them is reduced when viewed from a side are provided in either of the case body and the direction key basic body on the outside of the quadrilateral corner.
