An electrical cabling system (4) according to the present invention is suitable for high voltage circuits used for the transmission of power over distances. The cabling system (4) includes a set of aluminium tube conductors (1), bends, tees, bound in two layers of semi- conducting tape (2) and moulded in cast resin insulated material, (3) and installed and supported in PVC tubes (6) which are cooled with hydrogen. The resulting cabling system provides a simpler alternative for the transmission of large currents at high transmission voltages.
