Device (A) for crystallizing a charged macromolecule (I) from solution, is new. Device (A) for crystallizing a charged macromolecule (I) from solution comprises: (i) an inner chamber (1), with an axis of rotation, where the lower part is closed and forms an insulated reservoir, while the upper part is open but can be sealed against the air by a detachable cover (2) of insulating material; (ii) an insulating support, one surface of which receives a volume of (I) solution, as a drop or disk, placed inside (1); and (iii) two electrodes, one placed above (2) and the other around the base of (1), where the axes of both electrodes are coaxial with that of (1). The new feature is that the lower electrode (5) forms an external cylindrical chamber (3), having axis of rotation indentical with that of (1), while the upper electrode (4) consists of a low diameter cyclinder, coaxial with the axis of rotation of (3). Either electrode can be anode or cathode. Independent claims are also included for: (1) apparatus or system for crystallizing (I) comprising a set of (A); and (2) process for crystallizing (I).
