PURPOSE: A method of preparing an acne treating agent using Houttuynia cordata Thunb and green tea leaves is provided. Therefore, the agent has a treating effect on acne without adverse effects and a smoothing effect on the skin after the treatment of acne. CONSTITUTION: Stems and leaves of Houttuynia cordata Thunb are blended with green tea leaves in a ratio of 70:30 and ground. Thereafter, the mixture is pressed in a hydraulic press, fermented for 20 days at about 15deg.C. and concentrated. The extract is then formulated into ointments.
