<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of efficiently performing printout considering the difference (image quality difference) between ROI image quality and non-ROI image quality. <P>SOLUTION: This printing system for printing image data (ROI image encoded data) encoded such that the area (ROI) of high image quality and the area (non-ROI) of low image quality exist in a decoded image is provided with a receiving means for receiving a printout instruction from an instructing person who instructs printout, a calculating means for calculating the difference (image quality difference) in image quality between a ROI and a non-ROI of a print result in receiving an instruction from the receiving means, a notifying means for notifying the instructing person of a calculation result obtained from the calculating means, and a performance instruction receiving means for receiving an instruction for performing the printout from the instructing person after the notification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
