PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise a power source efficiency and energy saving properties by realizing an extremely simple circuit configuration, compacting in size the overall power source device, reducing the cost, and avoiding useless power consumption. SOLUTION: The power source device 1a (1b, 1c and 1d) comprises a first DC power source circuit 2 for converting an AC input voltage Vi into a DC voltage, a switching circuit 3 for switching the DC voltage to impart the voltage to an AC output transformer T, and a second DC power source circuit 4 for converting the AC voltage output from the transformer T into a DC output voltage Eo. The device 1a further comprises a frequency distribution circuit 6 for retrieving the AC voltage component (e) of the circuit 2 via a DC cut-off capacitor 5 (5s), and applying the retrieved AC voltage component (e) to a voltage component for changing a switching frequency fc of the circuit 3.
