PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woofer integrated with a main body of a thin display apparatus and made as small in size and thin in profile as the depth of the main body of the thin display apparatus and to provide a speaker system for sufficiently attenuating a voice component of medium and high sound frequencies emitted from the woofer and increasing the low frequency sensitivity when arranging a woofer and a stereophonic medium and high sound frequency speaker on the same plane of the thin display apparatus side by side for reproduction. SOLUTION: In the bass reflex type speaker system, a cylindrical duct bent in a dog leg shape is used and the length direction of the duct is placed in parallel with a speaker unit aperture face, the straight line part in the length direction of the dog leg shaped duct is placed obliquely, a part bent in the dog leg shape is placed in the vicinity of an outer aperture of the speaker box, the duct is placed at a position not overlapped two-dimensionally with the speaker unit, and the inner cross section of the part of the duct projected to the outside of the speaker box is configured elliptic and tapered.
