A signal luminaire for motor vehicles has a number of light sources which are constructed as light emitting diodes and a number of lenses corresponding to the number of light emitting diodes, each light emitting diode being assigned a lens and the light entrance surface, facing the light emitting diode, of each lens having two light-collecting regions. So that the emitted light is utilised as well as possible when light emitting diodes are used which have a broad cone-shaped light emission from at least two focal points or one elongate focal point, the second light-collecting region has a circumferential total-reflection prism which deflects a partial region of the light emitted by the light emitting diode in a cone-shaped manner, to produce essentially parallel light. |
