<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize small size and light weight and to enable to manufacture simply and economically. <P>SOLUTION: A first separator 26 comprises a first and a second metallic plates 30, 32. The first metallic plate 30 is equipped with an emboss part 46 that protrudes on the first electrolyte membrane and electrode structure 24a side and forms an oxidizer gas passage 48, and the second metallic plate 32 is equipped with an emboss part 50 that protrudes on the second electrolyte membrane and electrode structure 24b side and forms a fuel gas passage 54 and an emboss part 52 that protrudes on the above first metallic plate 30 side and forms a coolant passage 56 between the metallic plate 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
