<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for securing a board in which the board being carried is stopped without causing any rotational shift and a component packaging system employing it, and to enhance efficiency of component packaging operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for carrying a board 41 while mounting on a pair of carrying rails 39, i.e., a fixed side rail 39a and a moving side rail 39b, having an alterable rail width, stopping the board 41 carried to a predetermined board stop position by means of a first board stopper 63 provided in the vicinity of the fixed side rail 39a, and securing the board 41 at the board stop position while clamping, a second board stopper 69 is provided in the vicinity of the board stop position of the moving side rail 39b, and the first board stopper 63 cooperates with the second board stopper 69 to stop the board 41 being carried. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
