PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film removing method from the inside of a glass tube capable of certainly removing the thin film in the unnecessary portion applied to the inside of the glass tube and provide a discharge tube manufactured by this method. SOLUTION: According to the thin film removing method from the inside of the glass tube, the lower part of the glass tube 1 to whose inside surface a thin film is applied is immersed in a washing solution 4, and the thin film attached to the lower part of the glass tube is removed by the washing solution while a gas such as air is sent into the glass tube.
