INSECTICIDAL AND BACTERICIDAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING PIPER NIGRUM EXTRACT AS EFFECTIVE INGREDIENT

PURPOSE: An insecticidal composition containing a Piper nigrum extract having insecticidal properties against agricultural pests, hygiene pests and forest pests and feeding inhibition properties is provided which is harmless to the human body and exhibits insecticidal properties against Plutella xylostella, Culex pipiens pallens, Aedes aegypti, Aedes togoi, Malacosoma neustria testacea. CONSTITUTION: An insecticidal composition contains as an effective component one or more materials selected from the group consisting of a Piper nigrum extract, pipeline, pellitorine, guineensine, pipercide and retrofractamide A. The Piper nigrum extract is obtained by extraction of fruits of Piper nigrum in a solvent such as methanol, hexane and chloroform. The composition has feeding inhibition properties against Agelastica coerulea and Hyphantria cunea.
