PURPOSE: An aging method is provided to shorten the aging time and achieve improved aging efficiency, while preventing a dispersion of discharge voltages of cells. CONSTITUTION: An aging method comprises a step of re-distributing wall charges by applying a lamp waveform of 2VS voltage to a first display electrode(X) prior to the start of an aging voltage(+VS) applying operation; a step of applying the aging voltage, in the form of alternating pulses, to each display electrode; a step of applying an address voltage(+VD) synchronized with the aging voltage being applied to a second display electrode(Y) to an address electrode(ADDR), to thereby permit a discharge operation to be performed between first and second display electrodes and between the first display electrode and the address electrode. |
