<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely authenticate a hand-written signature, and to reduce troublesome work for an ID input. <P>SOLUTION: A hand-written signature data input using a pen 10 in an input device 11 connected to an input equipment 13 is transmitted to a host equipment 14, when a user registers the signature. Each code of a character sequence of fonts approximated most to a holograph shape data is read out while referring to a sign dictionary information part 18, in a sign information control part 16. A prescribed digit number of numeral value is read out based on the code, it is arrayed to be continued to a numerical value indicating a code number so as to serve as a user ID, and the user ID is registered in the sign dictionary information part 18 to correspond to the input hand-written signature. In the authentication, the user ID is generated automatically from the hand-written signature input by the user, the registered signature data corresponding to the user ID is read out, and each feature quantity in four components calculated based on the registered signature data is compared with a feature quantity in four components calculated based on the input signature data to judge the propriety of the authentication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
