PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outerjacketing body to prevent short circuit of a barrier layer cross-section of a laminated body of an outerjacketing body in battery packaging and a lead wire and a packaging method of a battery using it. SOLUTION: This outerjacketing body of the battery is formed of at least a base material layer, an adhesive layer 1, aluminium, a chemical conversion treated layer, an adhesive layer 2 and a heat sealing layer and seals a peripheral edge part by heat sealing by inserting a battery body, and both of the base material layers at a folded portion are adhered on each other by making both of the laminated bodies on sides to heat seal by holding the lead wire an extended end part by extending them and folding back at least one outer end part of the extended end part in packaging of the battery to seal a peripheral edge including a lead wire part by heat sealing it by making both of the heat sealing layers of the outerjacketing body face against each other by storing the battery body in the outerjacketing body for the battery constituting its characteristic feature of being capable of adhering both of the base material layers on each other.
