PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key switch constituted so as to switch and operate a switch mechanism by turning an operation cam forward and reversely in accordance with insertion and pulling-out of an operation key and provided with a turn lock mechanism capable of preventing the turn of the operation cam in a key pulled out condition to make the whole switch thin by improving the turn lock mechanism. SOLUTION: The turn lock mechanism 20 is provided with a lock member 22 capable of displacing in the direction parallel with a face on which it crosses an axis p of a turn shaft of the operation cam 4 orthogonally and a spring 23 for energizing the lock member 22 toward a lock position. It is provided with an erroneous operation prevention cam 25 turned forward and reversely in accordance with the insertion and pulling-out of the operation key 6 separately from the operation cam 4. The erroneous operation prevention cam 25 is turned by the insertion of the operation key 6 by preceding the operation cam 4, and the lock member 22 is displaced to a lock release position against the spring 23.
