PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of products (VE) and to reduce the weights of the products by reducing the material cost of a flexible disk drive. SOLUTION: A main frame (13A) has a structure which has the dimensions to permit mounting of only the high-accuracy parts (15, 16 and 300) and from which the front surface of the frame is cut off. A lower cover (70A) covering the under surface of the main frame is provided with a function as a sub-frame to be mounted with low-accuracy parts (702, 703, 704 and 705) corresponding to the front section of the frame subjected to the cutting off. As a result, the main frame and the sub-frame of the lower cover are combined to act the function as one frame. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
