PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup actuator in which the displacement of transmission plates in focusing direction is suppressed and the displacement takes place only in the tracking direction. SOLUTION: The vicinity of the ends of a plurality of suspension wires 341 and 343 are held by damping vibration at a damper base 22 which is fixed and supported by an actuator base 21. A movable part 10 is fixed at the other ends, i.e., the front ends of the suspension wires to enable the damper base move vertically and horizontally. An objective lens 11 is held by the movable part. A pair of base plates 23a and 23b are provided behind the damper base being divided in the left and the right and are mutually coupling by a coupling member 25 having elasticity. The coupling member is fixed to the damper base with a screwed component 26. Further, the extended ends of a plurality of transmission plates 231 through 234 extended in the left and right direction from a pair of base plates being separated from the damper base are respectively fixed at the other ends of the suspension wires.
