<p>A small-sized, simple-in-construction, inexpensive pre-treating device or method, wherein a dry bulk powder, which is substantially a cluster aggregate such as a high electrical resistivity plastic powder or a fine ceramic powder of not more than tens of microns is efficiently disintegrated and dispersed to form individual particles by using a small amount of gas, thereby making highly efficient the subsequent powder unit operations, such as classification, mixing, electric charging, weighing, and constant-rate feeding. Further, the unit operations, which have been made small-scale and highly efficient, are provided by a device that effects combined execution of cluster disintegrating and dispersing and constant-rate feeding at one stroke. Further, the powder is made into a powder flow (4) in a pipe-line (19), and the jet outlet port (8) of a flat flow passage (6) is formed in the pipe- line wall, which jet outlet port forms a high speed thin layer air shearing layer jet flow (7) that crosses the powder flow (4) and cross-collides in the powder flow to produce a strong turbulent flow, applying a strong shearing action to the powder cluster, thereby disintegrating and dispersing the powder cluster to feed the latter to the next stage unit operation, constituting a highly efficient unit operation in combination with the next stage unit operation.</p> |
